In the Dungeons & Dragons issue of Cosplay Realm Magazine we had the chance to sit down with cosplayer Viviviolet Cosplay and ask them some questions! Violet let us know that as a nonbinary Mexican person they felt it important to submit their work to a publication that uses its platform to talk about diversity and inclusion.

Violet describes their cosplay brand “to re-create costumes that are mystical and magical, and cosplaying Mollymauk went right in hand with my penchant for being a magical boy.”

In the Dungeons & Dragons Issue we featured their Mollymauk cosplay. Molly is one of our personal favorite characters in Campaign 2 of Critical Role, and Violet’s take on the character was so good! “I was inspired by his manner of speaking, come-what-may attitude, and overall confidence, which are things I look to mirror myself. I think it's important to have fun while you're wearing costumes, and I took the opportunity to practice my voice acting and tarot reading while guesting Florida PolyCon this last March- having fun with the character and showing fans of Critical Role a Mollymauk come to life, I hope, is leaving the place better than I found it.” - Violet.

Our interview with Violet we covered topics ranging from representation in the media, tarot reading, and the creation process for their Mollymauk cosplay. Pick up a copy of the Dungeons and Dragons issue of Cosplay Realm Magazine today to read the full interview! And be sure to check out Violet’s pages on Instagram and Twitter!
